The Focus Project seeks to identify emerging talent and to create a collective narrative reflecting what is most important in our lives. All participants will receive a gorgeous online portfolio to share with friends and family, and an exclusive package of special discounts and offers.

The Focus Project is a yearly archive of the world's most compelling photographs capturing what is most important in our lives. Over the course of the next year, we are building exclusive online photo archives based around themes that matter most in our lives. Because you take amazing photos, you are invited you to share your best images with us and the world. Everyone who participates will be given the tools to gain international attention for your work. Throughout the course of the Focus Project, several selected photographers will be granted world-wide acclaim, a red-carpet New York City reception and enough cash to fund your passion: taking photos.

The Focus Project : LOVE

Throughout the year, The Focus Project asks participants to contribute images pertaining to a selected theme, in an effort to identify emerging photographic talent and to create a collective narrative reflecting all our voices and visions.

We are excited to announce the first theme to launch this collaborative project: LOVE

It is the deepest emotion we know, and invite you to share your most powerful images. Show us your best photographs that convey, represent or capture the essence of love.

The Focus Project asks participants to contribute images pertaining to a selected theme, in an effort to identify emerging photographic talent and to create a collective narrative reflecting all our voices and visions.

For our current theme, LOVE, one selected photographer will be awarded the Grand Prize package of:

The People's Choice Award

While the grand prize winner will be selected by our editors, the photographer with the highest number of votes will receive the >People's Choice Prize of $1,000 and an online feature promoting your photographs internationally.

Plus: The top 25 runners-up will receive sponsored prize packages, and online features gaining worldwide exposure!

The Basics:

Who is Eligible to Enter

The Focus Project is open to all photographers around the world!

You can submit photos of any style that reflect what you love and honor in your life. These can be portraits of your friends and family, photos you've taken of those you honor and respect, images of people you've met on your travels, self-portraits, or any image that shows who you honor and LOVE.
How to Participate

Register and submit your images using our online submission form. All participants will receive a gorgeous online portfolio and will be eligible for the People's Choice Award (judged entirely online and does not affect the selection of the Grand Prize winner). Portfolios are fully editable (you can change/add images and modify your bio) until the final deadline.

Price for entry is $15 per image, you can submit 6 or more images for a flat rate of $79 (maximum of 12 images).

After completing payment, you will be sent a confirmation email with your username, password, and direct link to your portfolio, which you will be able to start using immediately.
The Prizes

One selected photographer will be awarded the Grand Prize of a gallery reception in Manhattan, a $5,000 cash grant, your own archival quality photography book, airfare and shipping to New York City, an annual subscription to JPG Magazine, an online feature published by JPG Magazine, and an online feature published by Artists Wanted promoting you and your photography world-wide.

The public will cast their vote and the participant with the highest rated portfolio will receive the People's Choice Prize of $1,000 cash and an online feature promoting the photographer's work internationally.

The top 25 runners-up will receive online features, gaining worldwide exposure!
Judging

Our panel of editors will select the grand prize winner.

For the People's Choice Prize, eligible visitors to the site will have a chance to vote for their favorite entry during the Online Voting Period. The photographer whose entry receives the highest number of public votes will be the People's Choice Prize recipient.
Use of Entry

We have no intention of reselling reproductions or images of your work, or using them for any commercial means outside the terms of The Focus Project.
